3 Hours Before Flight Time
This itinerary was designed for visitor to discover cultures, religions, and ancient villages of Northern Delta. Visitor will visit two famous ancient pagodas to learn about buddhism and visit ancient of Duong Lam village to discover tradition life of ancient villages in countryside of Vietnam.
After breakfast, we will start our trip to discover cultures of Red river delta. Journey take you through scenic country side of Northern delta on the way to Thay (the Master) pagoda . Thay Pagoda, alias Thien Phuc Tu Pagoda, was built in the 11th century during the reign of King Ly Nhan Tong. The pagoda therefore consists of three sections: Ha Pagoda, Trung Pagoda, and Thuong Pagoda. The outer part, Ha Pagoda, is a place for offerings and ceremonies; the middle part, Trung Pagoda, is a place for worship of Buddha; and finally, the inner part is a place for worship of Priest Tu Dao Hanh. The pagoda was famous as cradle of water pupetry which was normally performed in Long Tri pond in front of pagoda in the past. Our next stop is ancient Tay Phuong Pagoda which was built in 8 th centuries. All the wooden parts of the pagoda are beautifully sculpted following folk motifs: mulberry leat Ficus leat lotus flower, chrysanthemum; dragon, phoenix, etc. But the Tay Phuong Pagoda is mostly famous for the statues it contains, magnificent wooden sculptures representing Buddhas as well as Vajrapanis (Kim Cuong) and Arhats (La Han) who are middle-ranking Buddhist deities. After lunch at local restaurant we will visit Duong Lam ancient village of Viet people famous for its hundreds of houses built of later it brick. Visit Mong Phu communal house, Mia Pagoda… After visit one family where three or five generations live together, drive back to centre, then to your hotel. End of service.
