This itinerary was designed to help visitor to discover in depth daily life of local people in different provinces in Mekong delta. Cruising in Mekong delta three days help visitors not only sight seeing, but also have real experience daily life of Mekong people as how is their house, garden, farming works and their culture, custom and tradition. Visitor also visit Cham, one minority people in Chau Doc to to learn about their religions and custom.
Depart early in the morning. Upon arrival at Cai Be, embark a private boat to cruise around Cai Be Floating Market. Visit a local garden and house to see orchard, rice crisp production process, .. Have lunch at an Ancient garden house, then proceed to Vinh Long, passing small and beautiful canal with peaceful tranquil villages, the unique natural setting of Mekong Delta region. Stop at An Binh islet to visit some of the famous fruit orchards. See how local people make ceramics, popcorn and rice paper… A nice chance for bicycle riding through the village and its handicraft shops. Another stop at Vinh Long market before driving to Can Tho for overnight stay.
Start from Ninh Kieu boat quay, cruise along the small and picturesque tributaries by a rowing boat, visit the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats). See the beautiful scenery and daily activities of the locals. Walk around a village, visit a rice husking mill. We then travel by land to Thot Not to visit Bang Lang Bird Sanctuary (Stork Garden) or Crocodile Farm. On arrival in Chau Doc, climd the Sam Mountain to enjoy the breath-taking view and the sunset from its top. Overnight in Chau Doc.
A boat trip to a floating fish farms is the highlight of Chau Doc, a Cham minority village, where traditional weaving remains the major trade. The last stop in Chau Doc is to a local Muslim Mosque. Have lunch at a local restaurant before going back to Ho Chi Minh City
