Mai Chau is gateway of Northwest where Thai and Hmong ethic minority people inhabited. This trip offer you opportunities not only to discover cultures, customs, religion.., but also walking with spectacular scenery to one of Thai villages for you to experience their colorful traditions and warm hospitality.
After breakfast, we’ll depart Hanoi for Mai Chau. We will stop half of the way in Hoa Binh for refreshment before driving more 2 hours up to Mai Chau. Journey takes you through fields of tapioca and sugar cane as well as rice paddies. After lunch in Lac villages of Thai People, we start trekking through several minority villages in this area, before arriving at Xo village where we stay overnight, enjoying some local dishes and some homemade rice wine. This morning we say good bye with Thai people and have the opportunity to stroll around the village before returning to Hanoi. On the way back we stop at the friendly Muong village, before continuing onto Hoa Binh town for lunch. From Hoa Binh it is a 2 hour drive to Hanoi. (B/L)
